I hate to add to your stress, but I think you need to be concerned about the number of xrays and CT scans you've had. I think you should, at least, mention the issue to your primary care physician. You've probably had at least 2-3 times more radiation than any of the rest of us.

Thank you Linda. I do realize that but if I can get rid of some of my pain, I have to do it. I do not want to just keep taking stronger and stronger pain pills.

      • I am getting ready to leave tomorrow Sunday. I really do not know what to do regarding my pain meds. If I take them, the judge could say that I am not able to testify.

        • I just want to wish you all the best. I'm zipping the lip regarding the "justice." How long will you be away? Hope you come back with some good news, and this horrible thing behind you, Melissa.

            • Melissa.....would you want to travel all those hours in a plane
without having pain medication with you....?
i have not had back surgery and i know how very uncomfortable
              air travel can be...

perhaps there is some way to time your medication so you will
not be as sleepy or "out of it" while you have to be in court...
maybe discuss that with your lawyer...? or a doctor before
you leave or on phone while in NJ.

              best wishes...

              • Well, Melissa, you are probably already on your way to NJ. I just want to wish you a good trip and a good outcome on your court stuff.
I hope you are feeling well and endure the flight okay. I'm glad you have hubby along with you!
I'm sure you will be awake enough for the trial. I'm on a boatload of medications and they don't affect me too much anymore, especially if I'm engaged in doing something. I'm sure you'll be fine.
Anyway, I just wanted to wish you a good trip.

                Take Care,
                Rohrer01
                Be happy!
We don't know what tomorrow brings,
                but we are alive today!

Jess, We arrived in CA today at 4:40pm EST. We stopped in Philadelphia China Town for dinner as we have been without good Chinese food for quite some time now.Today, I took my pain meds and will take then as soon as the trial is over .So I will be in a wheel chair during the trial so as soon the trial is done for the day, I will take them then. Thanks for the good wishes

I'm going to assume that you meant that you arrived in NJ at 4:40pm EST, right?
I'm so glad that you and your husband got to have some good Chinese food together!
I'm sure that the trial is over for the day by now. I hope it went well for you and that you are managing your pain.

Yes I meant we arrived in NJ at 4:40pmEST. Yes the first day of court is over. It is now Tuesday AM and we are getting ready to leave to go back for day 2. My lawyer feels that day one ended in a tie.My brother's lawyer is trying very hard to make this trial last longer so our best witness can not testify as next week her daughter graduates. So we have an appeal into the judge asking that Maryrose be allowed to testify Wednesday and Thursday even if Paul's's lawyer is not done. He will rule on that today

                        Thanks everyone for your wishes
