        • The last two weeks have been terrible. I had my hip replaced on August 15. I went home on August 19. On August 21, I fell and broke my femur bone. I finally came home yesterday.

I have been in constant pain the last 10 days.

          • Melissa,
I am so sorry about the fall with the broken femur. Was it the leg that you had the hip operated on? How are you getting around? I don't think I have known anyone with worse bad luck than you. Please take care of yourself and try not to fall again. May God lift you up and help you to heal fast.

                  • OH NOOO!

I have been thinking of you daily and worrying about why you hadn't posted but with the site problems, I didn't know that you'd posted back on the 31st August. I am so sorry to hear about this broken femur, Melissa. What happened to a friend of mine, she slipped and broke her ankle and was on crutches when, one night, she got out of bed and headed to her bathroom, not bothering with the crutches, and slipped on some wet tiles in the dark and broke her shoulder. Which meant she couldn't use her crutches any more....The things that happen! It's so easy to fall. Please be super careful from now on. (I bet you are!)

I am so sorry about your pain. As if you haven't had enough already. Does your femur require surgery? So many questions but I guess you're not getting on the computer much these days. Thinking of you and sending healing thoughts your way.

Melissa, I'm mortified to hear that this has happened to you! I hope they can get your pain under control. Did you break the femur on the hip replacement side? What are we going to do with you, girl? I wish there were more that we could do other than moral support here on the forum. But, at least you have that here. Hang in there and hope that nothing else bad comes your way. You've had more than your share!

                        • Hi Melissa,
How are you doing since you emailed me and told me you had dislocated your hip twice? I certainly hope you are healing by now. Recovery from hip surgery is almost as difficult as recovery from back surgery as far as I am concerned.
                          Take care, Sally
