We're barracking for you Melissa! So happy to hear it's over and it went well. Hang in there Melissa, the next few days are "the hump" - once you're over that, things will get better and better - and this time you will have a great surgeon to see you through it.

    Gentle hugs,
    Jen

I am so glad everything went well with the surgery. I think you are going to have a totally different (and much better) experience this time during your recovery.

I got to rehab on Friday and even through then and still feel now that they are pushing me by my being in rehab. Marc shows up and the first think he says to me why are you not dressed? Then it is time to to go to PT .He gets mad because when I get up my hospital gown shows everything. I said that I really do not care as I am in so much pain. While in PT. she makes the statement that those who work harder get home faster. I said to her that I would do my best and she told me that maybe this is not the place for me. I am tired of being in pain and tired of being tired.. I am tired of being in this brace, I am tired of no privacy .I am tired of not being able to get in and out of bed by myself.I am just so frustrated about not being able to do anything by myself. I am tired of having no one here that I know to help me

When I got up for the 4th time last night @4:30am, I just not face having to get back in bed so I decided to sleep in a chair, Then all I heard from Marc and the nurse how unsafe it is .

I just do not know how long I can put up with this situation

I missed something: Who is Marc?

Under these circumstances, how rude for anyone to comment about modesty considerations. You're not at the mall.

Further, how unproductive the PT's comment was! Additionally, I do not know that there is any truth behind it. . .statistics??? Do people who "work harder" (now, how can that be quantified, in light of individual cases?) go home earlier. . .or do most go home when their insurance stops paying? People can be such jerks.

This will all be a memory soon. . .your body has taken a big hit, on top of other hits. You're doing great, and those of us who have been where you are now, appreciate how hard this is, and we're proud of you. And for those who are making this difficult road even harder (unnecessarily) for you. . . Karma can be a b*tch.

I missed something: Who is Marc? Marc is my very caring husband of almost 29 years. Life is fine until something happens and he being at the center of attention is not good
