  • Pregnancy Post Op

    Hi All!

Today I am due with my first baby (I've been predicting she'd be late...). My surgery was 2 years, 4 months ago.

I just want to say that even throughout pregnancy, I have had less back pain than pre surgery in general! I know that this result from surgery may not be what everyone experiences however, know that it is possible people!

    Warm Regards,
    Michelle

    congrats!

First of all congrats on the baby and a good pregnancy! Just out of curiosity, what did the docs say about epidurals? or is that something you are interested in?

    Thanks

they are quite confident they can epi me if they have to. They looked at the OR reports before confirming but they think it will be fine!

Congrats on the baby! I'm too chicken to do it so we're adopting instead.

Congratulations!!! It's great news for those who are thinking on going for a baby after surgery... like me!

I'll be 1 year from my T10-L5 fusion next month and I'll ask my surgeon about it. I'm not sure about the epidural though 'cos I've read it's done between L3 and L4. Do you guys know this for certain? It would mean I wouldn't be able to have it

All the best for the big day!!!!

                      epidural

My surgeon told me that it is usually inserted between L2 L3 level. HTH

Thanks Heidi. In that case, I won't be able to have it since I've been fused T10-L5. :/
