I had surgery when I was 12 back in 1978 and was fused to L4. Now I've had a lot of new pain deep down in my tailbone and extreme lower pelvic bone where it connects to my legs and my L4 has shifted to the left so my whole body is leaning to the left. I feel like the Leaning Tower of Pisa! Surgeons want to fuse me down to the sacrum. If you've had a similar 2nd surgery, how much mobility did you lose? The docs say since my 2 vertebrae that are left are so completely deteriorated already, I really don't have mobility in there now anyway. But can you still sit upright comfortably? Can you bend to shave your legs? Can you reach something in your car if it falls to the floor? I know I need to have the surgery but I'm so worried about losing so much more mobility.
Thanks,
Nancy
