    I have a new surgery date and a new doctor. New has got to be better.
    July 18 in my new state. Now to get thru packing and everything else I need to do.

      That's great Melissa. Once again, there's light at the end of the tunnel. You have an end in sight. Good luck with your packing etc. and I hope the time flies.
      Surgery March 3, 2009 at almost 58, now 63.

      T4-Pelvis, Posterior only
      Osteotomies and Laminectomies
      Was 68 degrees, now 22 and pain free

        I wish you all the best in your new state and new Doctor. I'm so sorry you have to deal with so much pain and then to have your daughter run away. My son ran away at age 17 also. If only they could understand the mental anguish they cause, then maybe they would think twice, but at that age, all they think about is themselves. My heart goes out to you and I will keep you in my prayers.

          61 years old--57 for surgery

          Diagnosed in 1965 at age of 13--no brace
          Thoracic Curve: 96 degrees to 35 degrees
          Lumbar Curve: 63 degrees to 5 degrees
          Surgery with Dr. Lenke in St. Louis--March 30, 2009
          T-2 to Pelvis, and hopefully all posterior procedure.

          All was posterior along with 2 cages and 6 osteotomies.

            You will need a revision fusion with extension up to C2, osteotomies from C7 to T3 and possibly a staged anterior surgery for correction of the lumbar nonunions.
