  • 3 days till surgery

Hi guys! My surgery is in three days (April 27) with Dr. Boachie. I had the pre-op appointments (I had seven separate appointments!) at the HSS on Thursday...

    details are:
Fusion most likely T3-L3 to correct kyphosis
    Posterior only
    Titanium screws and cobalt-chrome rods
Dr B is going to mix some BMP proteins with my bone (from the osteotomies) to be used for the graft.
Expected hospital stay in 5 days, I will be on Dilaudid (hydromorphone) for 2 days then off..they get me up the day after surgery!!

I will probably not be on here until after the operation, so thanks for all your support and help...it has been a huge help to be able to talk on this board...well..

see you on the other side!!!!
