Linda wants to keep an area for kids to talk to kids which is fine.
Simply have Halle re-post the identical post in the Idiopathic - adolescent section and I think several parents will post some very helpful information.
Or parents can send a private message but that doesn't allow any check on any bad info that a parent might post.

Question: What do you call alternative medicine that works?
Answer: Medicine
"We are all African."
Hey,
I LOVE sports, and I was worried about the same thing. I just had a spinal fusion a little over a year ago. A couple pieces of advice...
The hardest one first. Listen to your doctor! Don't overdo it, or it might be longer than that.
Do what you can to stay active. I did what I could handle, and kept walking and swimming. I ended up playing volleyball (cautiously) a little less than a year after my surgery. Set goals for yourself, and you'll be back to sports soon.
Hope your surgery goes well and you get back to sports!
