      First of all, I will be thinking of you tomorrow and wishing you a smooth recovery.
      I was happy to see my surgeon's (Dr. Lenke) name on the list.

          Thanks for this. Interesting! Also glad to see my doctor on here. I was surprised to see Weinstein from Iowa City. That's where I'd followed up off and on for years. In 2007 he seemed to think I might be OK and probably not in a wheel chair if I had no surgery. Thanks for that! He seemed reluctant to deal with mine. I asked about the number of surgeries they did-- 450 a year for teens. Ones my age--about 10 a year. Didn't work for me. Janet

          61 years old--57 for surgery

          Diagnosed in 1965 at age of 13--no brace
          Thoracic Curve: 96 degrees to 35 degrees
          Lumbar Curve: 63 degrees to 5 degrees
          Surgery with Dr. Lenke in St. Louis--March 30, 2009
          T-2 to Pelvis, and hopefully all posterior procedure.

          All was posterior along with 2 cages and 6 osteotomies.

            There's no mention of what qualified the listed surgeons to be on the list. Since the journal is specialized in the "business and legal issues" of spine surgeons, I wouldn't put much credence in the list. (Not that the listed surgeons aren't great.)
