First of all, I will be thinking of you tomorrow and wishing you a smooth recovery.
I was happy to see my surgeon's (Dr. Lenke) name on the list.

Thanks for the article. I see your surgeon is on the list, as is mine. Very reassuring. Best of Luck to you tomorrow, my thoughts are with you.

Thanks for this. Interesting! Also glad to see my doctor on here. I was surprised to see Weinstein from Iowa City. That's where I'd followed up off and on for years. In 2007 he seemed to think I might be OK and probably not in a wheel chair if I had no surgery. Thanks for that! He seemed reluctant to deal with mine. I asked about the number of surgeries they did-- 450 a year for teens. Ones my age--about 10 a year. Didn't work for me. Janet

Diagnosed in 1965 at age of 13--no brace

Lumbar Curve: 63 degrees to 5 degrees
Surgery with Dr. Lenke in St. Louis--March 30, 2009
T-2 to Pelvis, and hopefully all posterior procedure.
All was posterior along with 2 cages and 6 osteotomies.
There's no mention of what qualified the listed surgeons to be on the list. Since the journal is specialized in the "business and legal issues" of spine surgeons, I wouldn't put much credence in the list. (Not that the listed surgeons aren't great.)
