That's a nice job. You must appear completely normal with no obvious problem.

I hope the lymphedema is subsiding.

        Beautiful!!!!!! result!!!!!

(Funny isn't it, the difference in reactions: We show our x-ray to each other (fellow scoli surgery veterans), and the reaction is TOTALLY different than the reactions we get when we show them to "regular civilians". . .)

Yes, from the outside, you'd have to look pretty hard to know I have scoliosis (at least with clothes on).

My recovery had been difficult for the last several months, as I felt I was getting little to no improvement. But, in the last week or so, I made a lot of improvement. I'm now off narcotics, with the exception of a vicodin as needed. Some days I go without anything at all, and other days I've had to take up to 4. I'm hopeful that I'll be able to start back to work on a part-time basis in the next few weeks.

            Happy news, Linda!

And Linda. . .for someone who hasn't been working, you sure have accomplished some good works (what you've done for some people on this forum recently hasn't gone unnoticed). . .

Thanks! I'm blessed that I get to work in an area about which I have great passion.

                  Linda,

I looked at your x-rays and let out a little ahhhh of approval. Yes, fellow scolis do appreciate a good set of radiographs without the astonishment of the hardware surprise!

Hope you get to return to the work you love asap and that your recent improvement picks up even more speed. Yay!

                            • Hi...

I've been reluctant to say anything, for fear of jinxing it, but I've been feeling well for about the last 3 weeks. I still have some pain, but mostly only when sitting. I'm going to return to work part-time starting next week, and will go full-time as soon as sit/stand workstations can be installed in my office and in the spine center clinic. I am so excited to get back to a normal life.

Thanks for all your well wishes here and in email. They all got me through a fairly dark time.

                              Regards,
                              Linda
