Hello,
I have found this site very helpful. Thank you eveyone!
I have a question for the ladies...moms, maybe you can help me figure this out.
Surgery is very stressful on the body, and I have heard that female patients have been known to get their period right after surgery, even though it is not scheduled at that time. It is such a shame to have a young girl deal with having her period in the hospital, while coping post op. They have been thru enough!
I have had friends suggest that I ask about putting my daughter on Depo shot or low dose BCP so she doesnt have to deal with this while in the hospital.
I guess that is a good question to ask the surgeon, as the injection and pills also have side effects. Having your period at the time of surgery also increases bleeding during surgery.
What are your experiences and thoughts.
