I don't have an after photo of the hump (it's only been three weeks; can't bend yet!). But here are photos of my back before and after. It's strange, not being crooked for the first time in over 45 years.

Thanks, everyone. I thought it would be nice to have all the pic about rib hump, scar in one thread.
Ed:
Yes, i got some very nice curves.. I'm not in that much pain, fatigue; therefore I don't really feel my condition is that serious. However, when i look at the x ray and the pic of my back, hump; I realize that mine curves are serious. I finally decide to go for surgery. Just wondering how I can plan my surgery time and the down time from working, and also getting the bill paid while not working for few months. Need to figure out and save the reserve.
I have attached 'before' photos ~ won't have my 'after' photos for a few weeks. Getting closer everyday and trying to focus on the positives of the surgery. Any advice from those on the 'other side' is appreciated!
Good pictures Laurie!
My surgery is Dec 6th and 10th with Dr. Pashman at Cedars sinai. My curves are a bit more than yours and opposite: T90+ and L50+
I will take before pictures pretty soon... and post them here. My deformity is kind of scary tho...

Ohhh....think I will clock in on the graveyard shift of NSF! I’ve been reading a limited amount of time lately as I have been destroying my eyes setting up my new Blackberry Torch......capabilities are endless, provided your eyes don’t take a dump. Isn’t technology wonderful?
Fashionista,
I spent many many years thinking about my surgeries as I was a candidate back in 1974. As I aged, the pain increased but I managed. Pain episodes became more frequent in my 40s, and so did the planning.... I call this part “getting all your ducks in a row”. It took me a few years......it calls for careful financial mgmt, especially if you will take a bunch of time off.

Your 4th image shows your lower spinal hump. Stiff isnt it? Mine was like a rock! It is completely gone now, and that lower ache, that is also gone. After surgery, you will lose your old scoli pains and trade for the new surgical pains. Yes, it hurts, but after you heal, the surgical pains should subside.

LaurieAnne,
What gave me peace in the few weeks before my surgery was knowing I was in the best hands possible. I have heard Dr. Lenke's name so many times on this forum and he has done wonders with people twice your age. The odds are really in your favor for a really successful outcome. Stay focused on the outcome and the your new, improved body. You are making the right choice.
Please keep us posted - we will be routing for you!
I haven't looked at the before and after pics but I will now. I too am going to eventually post pics of my son's right rib hump to show you guys how noticeable it is. *off to look at your pics*
