    OT husband and daughter lost

    I just wanted to let everyone know thay my husband and daughter are missing. They went backpacking Saturday and were due back yesterday afternoon.A seacrch and rescue mission has been started.

    Thank God they were found! My heart stopped when I read your first post. I hope everyone is all right.

    Diagnosed at age 11 and untreated.
    Total degeneration of disc at L4-5, spondylolisthesis at L4, L5 sacralized.
    Surgery on 10/26/10

    University Medical Center @ Brackenridge Hospital.
    Posterior fusion of T11-S1, part minimally invasive; TLIF at L4-5.

    OMG you poor thing. As if you needed more to worry about. So glad they are found Melissa. I hope they are safe and sound.
    Surgery March 3, 2009 at almost 58, now 63.

    After a while numbness almost sets in.

    Glad you told us. Feel we are family.
    Not all diagnosed (still having tests and consults) but so far:
    Ehler-Danlos (hyper-mobility) syndrome, 69 - somehow,
    main curve L Cobb 60, compensating T curve ~ 30
    Flat back, marked lumbar kyphosis (grade?) Spondilolisthesis - everyone gives this a different grade too. Cervical stenosis op'd 3-07, minimally invasive

    Oh my! So glad I just read all of these so I knew the good outcome. Wow, that had to be terribly frightening to say the least. Thank goodness they were found! Janet

    61 years old--57 for surgery

    Diagnosed in 1965 at age of 13--no brace
    Thoracic Curve: 96 degrees to 35 degrees
    Lumbar Curve: 63 degrees to 5 degrees
    Surgery with Dr. Lenke in St. Louis--March 30, 2009
    T-2 to Pelvis, and hopefully all posterior procedure.

    All was posterior along with 2 cages and 6 osteotomies.

    Thank goodness they were found . I hope they are safely home by now and in full health.
    daughter, 12, diagnosed 8/07 with 19T/13L
    -Braced in spinecor 10/07 - 8/12 with excellent in brace correction and stable/slightly decreased out of brace curves.
    -Introduced Providence brace as adjunct at night in 11/2011 in anticipation of growth spurt. Curves still stable.
    -Currently in Boston Brace. Growth spurt is here and curves (and rotation) have increased to 23T/17L
