              Update on Irene (backissues)

              "Hi Everyone,

Irene's surgery went extremely well today. No surprises. Nothing complex. It was what the surgeon expected from the MRI,

Milogram and various Xrays. I guess "uneventful" is good in this business. It took a long time though - from 9:30 to about

7:30 this evening. She's in the recovery room now - kicking her legs and swinging her arms - making sure everything is still

working. She'll go from here to the ICU for the next 24 hours. When she gets a room I will let everyone know. Let's hope

for a speedy and easy recovery.

              Steve"

Great news so far! We're thinking of you Irene!

I found this on the downside of using BMP, which worries me since I'm about to have surgery with it...

perhaps a new thread about BMP should be started...?

                                just a note...
i have a benign tumor in left femur...it is actually cartilage that shouldn't be in my femur...
it has been there for years, but doctors just figured out what it is (years ago, when seeking treatment for Lyme, the idiots at Stonybrook Hospital on Long Island originally insisted i must have "broken" my leg but not known it! back in 1989, on a bone scan, it looked like a "break," to them, but it wasn't...they kept arguing with me that it had to be a broken bone that healed without treatment!)...
when doctors finally figured out what it REALLY is 5 years ago, after it started causing me pain, the surgeons were going to remove it, but decided surgery would be too invasive and painful, so instead, we just watch it...
i get an MRI once a year....so far, no change..

it is scary to have something like bone or cartilage in a place it doesn't belong...
i really hope they can develop a better form of BMP....and i am glad that no one on forum has reported any problems with it...
