i really like that expression some have used, the "other side," referring to postop vs preop
anyway, i'm packing now and leaving tomorrow (tues 5th) early am to get to st. louis for my 11am appt for central line placement and surgery weds 6th
i am still not the least bit nervous except for maybe a little excitement as i can't wait to begin to get better; i had my preop visit last week with anesthesia with all the tests so it's definitely a go; saw dr lenke and kelly; i have confidence in dr lenke and all his staff; i want to go home as quickly as possible and kelly said the best thing i could do is get up and walk as soon as possible which i intend to do
i'll try to keep a diary so i can give an accurate account to the forum later about how things went; my memory alone certainly may not be very reliable; i'm taking a nurse friend (besides my wife) and they're going to help me and remind me to make some notes daily
so it'll probably be a few weeks before i next post; good luck to heidi and everyone else
