thanks for sending that, Kara...now i see what you meant...

i dont have those type of problems with my teeth...i had braces as a teen, etc...
also had lots of bridgework and caps done in 1994...but have very bad periodontal problems...so when the gums go...well, it goes from bad to worse!

i was told by all that when a patient must have bone grafting...as i must have...then one MUST go off the Fosamax type meds...all the doctors and dental specialists insisted i be off them for a minimum of 3 months...i was 6 months off them before they started the first bone grafting!
i will be having more implants for at least one more year, more likely 2!! a lot of money (i have no dental insurance)...but necessary, not cosmetic!

    thanks again for that pix..
and i hope your healing from scoli surgery is going well...

I was told the deteration was from arthritis and it was the coating of the bones. I don't have osteoporosis. My fusion is still growing and I have bone spurs. I go tomorrow to the pain doctor to set up another ablation for T6 - T12 area. I do try to get to the pool 4 days a week to exercise in the warm water. (sometimes doctor appointments get in the way)

            hi rainbow..
am glad you dont have osteo of any kind...
            i have arthritis and osteopenia!
i know what arthritis feels like, though i don't have bone spurs...the arthritis i have became worse from severe Lyme Disease...and much worse in my spine!
also, you mentioned discs degenerating...it is my own opinion, and my surgeon agrees, that discs cause a lot of the pain! far as i know, damage to them is irreversible without surgery!

best of luck...i hope the nerve ablation helps you...and gives you some relief!

The doctors will not operate to replace my discs as they would have to move my heart and lungs out of the way and operate next to the aorta. One called it "no man's land" as no man wants to operate there! I have been dealing with arthritis since I was 16 and disc pain in worse. I get ablations done a couple times a year to control the pain (because it is all of my thorasic discs, they split it into 2 different times)

special class action suit for ranbow! >;-Z

Aw, rainbow, with all the sad stories around this site, sometimes I just have to step back and say how sorry I am that someone is suffering as s/he is and how MUCH it sucks. You're one of them.

I read a decade or so ago, about a man in NJ who is suing God for - everything, In his life, he primarily sought damages for : his lost youth, his beloved Mom's death, his lost job (and all the pain it's cost him). And more.

On the one hand, the guy's nuts (there's an emoticon I wish we had - I call it "twirly finger") . OTOH he's got the human condition wrapped up. Poor humankind! Up yours, God!

FWIW the case was resolved by default because the defendant "failed to appear in Court" (guess the judge didn't buy the "God is everywhere" cop-out defense). Ha! Personally, I favor the insanity plea for the Deity. S/He's GOTTA be nuts considering everything (especially unkept promises), and as for His/Her creation - get real!

(But the repercussions of this decision, if taken seriously! The dangerous copycat crimes on the one side and on the other, the class action suits seeking reparations...Tssk! If the prosecution DID win, I think you'd be one of the first to benefit from spearheading a new class action suit )
Not all diagnosed (still having tests and consults) but so far:
                Ehler-Danlos (hyper-mobility) syndrome, 69 - somehow,
                main curve L Cobb 60, compensating T curve ~ 30
Flat back, marked lumbar kyphosis (grade?) Spondilolisthesis - everyone gives this a different grade too. Cervical stenosis op'd 3-07, minimally invasive
