  • Need a good doctor for revision surgery

    Hi to everybody!

I am going to have my revision surgery. The first one (stabilization of curvature with CD tools) has been done in 1995. The correction was minimal the curvatures before and after surgery remained the same 80 and 90 degrees. In 2001 the tools has been removed, now there are still pains in my back. My doctors insist on revision surgery, but I know that it is much more risky. So I can let it do only to the best specialist.
Are there anyone who has faced the same situation and who have done the revision surgery? What are the results? Which doctor you would advise for me?

    Thank you all in advance!

Hi, I also need revision surgery, and ask the question, The Dr. who did scoliosis surgery in 2002, was Dr. Bolderston in Pa. and I was good for 8 years, but now he feels I need revision. He told me to see Dr. Khaled Kebaish, at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, I saw him in May, and I am thinking about doing it in 2011. good luck, I am still checking for someone else, not too many Dr. do revision surgery. Can you Google the Doctors you are considering, get their phone numbers and call and ask them how many revision surgeries they do?

If you're paying cash, and money is no object, Dr. Boachie is probably your best bet.

Again thank you all for your support and replies.

It would be great if someone who had revision surgery with Dr. Boachie or with Dr. Lenke contact me and tell me about their experience and share their opinion.
