    Hi Nell

The first time I experianced sciatica was Jan 12, 2002. 8AM How could I forget?
You know what I'm saying, and I know how you feel.

You are having disc problems down low. Ck out this film

The blue section in the video is your annulus fibrosis. Its like a car tire and the nucleus is like crab meat. When your annulus fibrosis wears and ages, it can weaken and crack allowing the crab meat to hit your nerves.

My pain lasted 9 months and I took Bextra and Celebrex. Regular Chiropractic did not work, Osteopathy didnít work, Accupuncture didnít work, (He wasnít Chinese)LOL. The things that did work were swimming in the ocean, and VAXD treatments. The ocean therapy actually worked quickly, and I quit the NSAIDS immediately after. Somehow, the release of gravity, and exercise allowed the nucleus to retract, and thus the pain ceased. I went about another year, then the sciatica started again, hit the ocean, solved the problem again. VAXD is a pulling machine, very expensive and painful, after 8 treatments, it worked. After all the failures, I figured Id go to Hawaii on vacation in major pain.
It worked! Not a bad idea huh?

All of my sciatica events triggered my scoli surgeries. My 4 herniated discs were comfirmed by Iohexol Cts. I had a 70 degree curve down low.

I too, blamed my old Doctor from years ago. In 1965, he recommended 9 hrs of sleep vs 8 hrs. There is no blame for scoliosis. There just isn't.

I'm truly sorry this is happening to you. Those were some very painful times for me.
Careful with the NSAIDs, do not overdo those.
    Good luck

To what do you feel caused the reductions in your curves over the last 6 months?

I will hang on to my films. I've always gone to the trouble of getting them into my own possession. Unfortunately, (maybe unfortunately), my curves were only first documented at the age of 31. If you ever need me to participate in anything you might come up with in the field of research- I would jump at the chance.

At this point, I have no concrete scientific conclusive data that my curves have improved, since there is that +/- degree variation and both doctors attested that it may be the manner in which the different medical guys measure curves. Still, visually when I was measured with Boachie at 64t and 65L, the films LOOKED like progression. And since I did not see the last films yet (the ones measured at 57T and 56L) , I don't know how they look, but I know how I feel and in the past week three people - one a co-worker, one a random woman in the grocery store, one my husband who is not the type to blow sunshine in my face - all commented that I look straighter. How's that for science, but it works for me. As soon as I have my x-rays from Boston, I'll learn to post them and ask everyone to comment. (Do I look 8* better, do I look the same?).

Coincidentally and in the mean time, I have been hitting it extremely hard (for me) with spin classes, training in a gym using my own intuition, and taking yoga and Bikram yoga classes- also following an anti-inflammatory diet. I wanted to do everything I could so I knew I did- after seeing the x-rays with Boachie that indicated possible rapid progression.
