    Hehehe....great thread. The problem for me is my good old Catholic guilt prevents me from taking advantage of any of the recovery "perks".
    Pre-Surgery Lumbar 65 degrees
    A/P Fusion T10-Pelvis by Dr. Christopher Good
    Virginia Spine Institute, Reston, VA 3/17/10, 3/18/10
    Post-Surgery Lumbar 19 degrees, and 2" in height

      It's funny sometimes that it takes something like this (scoliosis surgery) to make people 'stop and smell the roses' so to speak. I am self employed and used to be constantly on the go. In 2004, i ran myself into the ground and came down without 'childhod diseases', Whooping Cough and Chickenpox. I promised my GP, i would take things easy after i recovered - NOT! Therefore, one year ago this week, when i made my surgery booking, i decided that during and after recovery, I would do the Julia Roberts and Richard Gere thing - Pick up a blanket, go down to the park, take my shoes and sox off and 'cop a squat'! I now live a very life/work balanced life! (more play -less work!).
