  • King Tut and scoliosis

    http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/02/16...ex.html?hpt=C1

    Here's an excerpt; how interesting.

When researchers scanned Tut's mummy, they found he not only had severe kyphoscoliosis, or curvature of the spine, but also suffered from a toe malformation known as oligodactyly. The condition made his left foot swell, and it would have caused excruciating pain when he walked.

                  Funny thread!

After reading this, there was a snippet about King Tut on the news last night. Apparently his remains are undergoing extensive investigation into what killed him at age 19. They have decided it was the odd combination of a broken leg and malaria (!) and mentioned that he had many other medical problems...but scoliosis was not mentioned.

What was mentioned is that his mother and father were brother and sister.
                  Surgery March 3, 2009 at almost 58, now 63.

Was 68 degrees, now 22 and pain free
