  • Any input regarding Atlanta area scoli docs?

    Hello All!

Long time no post. I seem to creep back around towards the end of the year. And here I am.

The reason I'm here this year is that I am wanting to know if anyone has seen a scoli doc in the Atlanta area? My niece recently had a positive Adam's Test (Forward bend) and is being referred to a doc for x-rays and whatnot. I plan to help them navigate the visit and diagnosis and all of that. They even have a doctor they are planning on seeing who has scoliosis as her specialty. But I wanted to get an idea of the names in the area in case they don't like this visit or if a second opinion is needed.

Alternatively, how would you all suggest I go about finding a doc in the Atl area? Having never had to do this for scoliosis I'm unsure of what would be the most efficient way.

    Thanks!

I've been around the pediatric scoli world since 2008, and I have heard Timothy Oswald's name mentioned a number of times. He is in Atlanta I believe.

A great resource is the Scoliosis Research Society website. They have a free online physician-finder.

      Hi Kevin...

Emory is relatively well known for their scoliosis work. Try William Horton.
