I saw the doctor this week for my one month post op. Can"t believe it has been 1 month already. Feeling really good. The doctor was very happy with the recovery at this point. I am down to taking my tramadol and tylenol only when I go to bed and when I get up in the morning. He was also very happy about my walking. Now that it has turned really cold and starting to snow around here it is very difficult to get outside and walk so I started going to my in-laws and use their treadmill. I am able to walk 20 minutes about every other day. I would like to thank everyone that gave me advise on what to expect after this surgery. I have listened to all of it and it has help so much. I would have to say that it is the big reason as to why I have been able to do this so well.

Lois--You're walking that much on the treadmill after a month? That's tremendous. A much better idea than on the slippery sidewalks, that's for sure. Good luck as you continue to heal. Janet

The weeks before the surgery I was in a lot of pain. I could not walk more than about 5 minutes or stand on my feet very long. I was taking hydrocodone before the surgery just to get comfortable after working all day. I can say now that all of that pain is gone. I would do this surgery all over again it has been so worth it. You will do great.
