  • Julia's surgery in 2 days

My 14-year-old daughter's surgery is in 2 days. I can hardly believe we are really here, after talking and worrying about this for two years. Julia is anxious and scared but ready. I'm sure I will panic the night before or the morning of, but I will do my best to keep it together for her. I am so appreciative of all of your posts on this forum. I feel so much better prepared than I could possibly have been without it. It has been so helpful reading about your and your children's experiences and successes. I'm sure I will have questions during recovery. Thanks all.

I think you will agree that this ramp up to surgery is the hardest part.

Your daughter will come through this faster than you might imagine.

Stay focused. Eyes on the prize.

    Good luck.

Question: What do you call alternative medicine that works?
    Answer: Medicine

After months of anxiety and tears, I was actually very calm the week of my daughter's surgery. You'll do fine.
Best wishes to you and your daughter.

I have you in my thoughts, mostly because I'm jealous... Ha! I think. You will do just fine - both of you! It takes you with all your strength, wisdom and patience to push her along and help with the recovery I'm sure. It will make a world of difference to her.
Best of luck to you both!!!! Keep us posted.
