This article in the New York times describes how symptom free pets can cause MRSA infections in their owners. Something to consider before surgery.

As much as I love cats and dogs and all animals, this was definitely on my mind during my recovery. Being single, I was invited to go stay and recover at a friends house with loads of animals, and I turned them down.
I know that was a wise decision.
Its something to be aware of.........
Everyone wash those hands now!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This should be a sticky thread, but how could it if your washing your hands! LOL
Thx Karen

WOW. I love my dog, but I never liked dog slobber, and now I have a good reason! I tell the poor dog, take your slobber and go somewhere else!
Thanks for the info Karen.
