  • depomedrol shot

Does anyone else take the depomedrol shot. I took one in May and the Dr, had me come back in 3 months, which was August. I will take it ever 3 months, 4 times a year. The 2 shots I have taken sure makes me feel a lot better. I would have pain in my spine and going down my leg and no matter what I did to relieve the pain, it would help but not realy this good, as the shot. I also take physical therapy, and when I would do my therapy i would have a great deal of pain. I sure hope this shot keeps on helping me.

Depo Medrol is a steroid. There are serious side effects with long term steroid use: elevated blood sugar, adrenal suppression, dowagers hump and bone weakening.
Have you consulted a scoliosis specialist who treats adults? I worry about the after effects of the "miracle drugs" steroids.
    Original scoliosis surgery 1956 T-4 to L-2 ~100 degree thoracic (triple)curves at age 14. NO hardware-lost correction.
Anterior/posterior revision T-4 to Sacrum in 2002, age 60, by Dr. Boachie-Adjei @Hospital for Special Surgery, NY = 50% correction
