Hi Pilar, Dr. Pashman performed surgery on me 2 years ago. It was not anterior - just posterior. My curve was about 55 degrees upper and 40 degrees lower? I don't remember. My case was on Dr. Pashman's web page - I was the the "44 year old female" . I was extremely happy with Dr. Pashman - he is an amazing surgeon and he did a great job on me. I had pain before but no pain now. I am 46 yrs. old and I also had a Milwaukee brace when I was growing up. I think that you have a great advantage with your age for recovering more quickly from the surgery. I think I probably learned about Dr. Pashman from this forum, I read it before but never posted. Best wishes to you - I was scared too - it is natural to be - I got all the books available on recovering from spine surgery and what to expect. Family support is very important. It took me about 3 months to recover, then I was back at work.
