hi, all...i asked my surgeon to have a couple of his patients call me so i could get as realistic a view as possible about the hospital experience. i've never had a surgery and the longest i've ever been in the hospital was overnight to have my son. the whole hospital thing is a mystery to me and the thought of my hospitalization was spooking me. anyway, i spoke with one woman this afternoon who had surgery a year ago and it was such a good experience; i'm feeling very, very brave and upbeat about my upcoming procedure tonight as a result of this call! just a suggestion for those of you with upcoming surgeries who might be uneasy about the hospital stay (among a thousand other things)....
