  • Pregnancy after surgery

Hi, I am 20 years old and maybe having surgery. I was curious if there is anyone that has had surgery and then had a child after the surgery. I was just wondering how a pregnancy would be after having surgery?

    Thank you,

    Lindsey

    Hi,

I am 1 year 9 months post-op and am pregnant with my first child. So far so good - I think other people who have been through the whole pregnancy can give you better advice though. It seems that other people have done very well with pregnancy post-op and I was encouraged by that.

    Best,
    Anya

Hi Lindsey. I had surgery and then had my daughter two years later. I had no trouble with my pregnancy at all. The only thing was because of the location of my fusion, I was unable to have an epidural. If you have specific questions, I would be more than happy to answer. Before my surgery, I had trouble finding women who had surgery first and then children afterwards, so I understand your concern.
