    Hi folks,

I noticed that this specific category is for 18 and under but I really didn't know where else to post my question. I am 21 years old and I am pretty sure that I am done growing. I've always been the kid with bad posture, ever since Jr High. 4-5 years ago my doctor told me I had Scoliosis. I am not even sure she said those words. She made me bend over and showed my back to my mom. She scheduled me for an appointment with a back doctor. I really didn't care about Scoliosis due to the fact that I really didn't know anything about it, until recently. She never really pressed me to go to the specialist again.

Now I've discovered how bad Scoliosis really is and I confused at to what I should do. I have never experienced back pain or limited mobility ever. I actively played sports. I am definitely sure that I have stopped growing. I've been the same height for awhile now. I am 5'8. I believe I have a small rib hump which I had never noticed before until my obsession with Scoliosis started 2 days ago. It's hard to notice it. I really had to know what I was looking for in order to see it. I really can't tell how crooked my spine is. Should I got to the doctor and get myself checked out? I've never really focused on this issue and neither have my doctors. I personally feel that my posture is better now than what it was like in Jr High.

Does Scoliosis continue after growing is completed? What would be an indicator that it is?

No need for worrying if your back has not caused you any issues. The best way to know where you stand with scoliosis is to see an orthopedic doctor that specializes in scoliosis. They can tell you the severity of your scoliosis and risk of progression. As far as I can tell by what you wrote, your risk of progression should be low. Seeing a doctor and starting a medical history of your back and maybe getting it checked out every few years, might help you be able to make decisions in your future should you start having problems. Hopefully you will get more advice from others on the forum.
