  • Dr Matthew Cunningham

I am considering a surgical consultation. Has anyone been to or heard of Dr. Matthew Cunningham at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City? I've read numerous posts about Dr. Boachie at the same hospital but I can't afford to pay out of pocket. I am looking at surgery for progressive kyphoscoliosis.

I live in Utah. Would it be crazy to consider traveling such a distance for this type of surgery? I am not sure how long I will be on my current insurance which would pay for EVERYTHING--no deductibles or anything.

    Thank You!

I looked on the SRS list of docs in Utah, and there is one adult SRS doc in SLC - Dr. Daubs. There is another in Logan (where I live, actually) - Dr. Hooley.

The other SRS docs (4 total) are pediatric specialists. Have you tried an SRS doc in Utah?

Thank you for your reply. I have looked at the website. My insurance won't cover Dr. Daubs. He would be my first choice here in town if my insurance would cooperate.
