Dear all,

I wonder what instrumentation is nowadays used for spinal fusion.

Once it was Harrington, then it was Cotrel Dubosset and after 1994 Moss Miami.

I believe there are many other methods whose names I am not familiar with.

What are your experiences, which turn out the best over the years?

Hi. I have the titanium rods used w/Legacy. Not sure how it differs from the others used. Im sure it depends on the rigidness of the curve/curves, what degree & the other things involved. I dont think they even use the Herrington anymore, do they, due to the flat back issues?

Did you find out what your curves are at now? Based on your signature,,,you said you would find out after Jan 5th?

well, I haven't...

I should have had a gallbladder removal surgery on 22 Dec but it was cancelled due to renovation of the hospital.

My "spinal" doctor was absent first 2 weeks in Jan and my gallbladder surgery was scheduled for 16 Jan. Now I'm recovering for gallbladder s. and waiting for the right moment for travelling to my "spinal" doctor.

5 Jan was crucial because it was the day when I had my fresh X- rays.

My degrees are yet to be measured...

I have changed my signature to avoid confusion... Thanx for reminding!:)
