floating zipper pull in my back?? huh!?

Ok so I have 2 rods, one on each side of my spine. They both broke in the middle (not at the same time) and the docs put extra stuff in there to keep them from moving any more.

Well lately I've been feeling like something like a wire will poke me once in a while. It hurts awfully bad. Anyone else ever feel that?

I *think* I might know what it is now (besides the fact that it could actually be one of the wires holding the extra stuff on...it could be that right?) ... I got my xrays from the hosp. I've been going to the past 3 years and checked em out today. It looks like theres a zipper pull right in the middle of my pelvis...but I wasnt wearing pants! So....what in the world could it be?!?! The xrays from 2 years ago didnt have the item in it...and also, there are 2 different x rays w/ it in there and its in 2 different positions! So I KNOW its not supposed to be there!!! I'm just all weirded out right now!!! lol...

So anywho...anyone know what it could be or have any kind of experience like this?

Alien abduction???

Sorry...jk.... ;) I have something strange looking in mine too, but was told it is an 'implate' or a cage used in the disc space. When they removed my hardware (rods and screws) these remained. But it's odd that they weren't in your earlier xrays.... hummm.

omg i feel like such a fool!!! i figured out what it was after running around all day and telling everyone i was gonna have the docs fish it out of me!!!! My friend was like it looks like some kind of charm.... apparently I didnt realize that the undies I wore that day had a half of a charm on it.... lol... I'll take that alien abduction now please :P

BWHAAHAAHAA!!! We all have those crazy moments, believe me, I have had my share. :) I am very glad there are no miscelaneous pieces of clothing hardware floating around in your abdomen. :)

Glad my undies don't have charms! Boy would I be in trouble.

I never had a situation like that with x-rays however, MRIs can reveal all sorts of things. Once I picked up a full set and went back to work, pulled out a full size and was running around showing people how twisty things can get, and while I was showing some of my female coworkers I noticed something that looked kinda smashed up down low.

They loved it.

For years now, I get the biggest smiles out of them. Every day.

I have such a great working relationship with everyone.

WATCH how low they went before you send them to family, co-workers and your BOSS (ack!). Digi x-rays are thinly veiled porn, anyway ... and I was MORTIFIED when I realized you could see my hoo-hah!

And I sent that first batch to *everyone*! UGH!

Pam's post is probably THE most valuable info you can obtain, and only here on NSF! Always do a test e-mail to yourself to make sure hoo-has,ho-hos,he-hes,lucky charms, etc don't show up unless you want to make new friends. If you do a mass e-mail to 100 people all at once, you now have 100 new friends! LOL Its called learning computing "the hard way"

I never e-mailed my goods around, I personally delivered mine! (much better for facial expression)

Katie, to answer your question, yes we have experience with these kinds of things, and alien abductions in Nevada also!

Its wednesday and he hasn't called me yet. Was supposed to yesterday. Im kinda hoping that the odd pains are from the rods cause then he can tell me what to do about it...otherwise its just another pain most likely cause of my Osteogenesis Imperfecta.

But yeah I noticed that about the x ray porn :P I was about to send them to my mom and dad to show them the thing in the middle of my pelvis and noticed that they could see my lady parts!!! LOL So I opened it in paint and covered it up :P Even though its an x ray, I still woulda never been able to look at my dad the same again!!!
