Anyone have any knowledge about this procedure? Or the doctor who performs this surgery?

Paul,

A couple of years ago, thoracoscopic minimally invasive surgery hit the scene - and generated a LOT of excitement. In fact, I hoped when I had my initial consult with Hanson that it was an option. He told me he didn't do it - and why.

If this is the same procedure, they just don't get the results they do with the traditional approaches.

The article doesn't really go into a lot of detail, but my hunch is it's the same thing. There *are* doctors who still do it, but I believe most SRS surgeons have ditched it as inferior to traditional surgery.

Let us know if you find out any different (not like it'll do me any good now - LOL!). Good luck.

Regards,
Pam
