My Scoliosis Dr. I had since I was 8 retired this pass May. I am having some more problems and looking for a new Dr. is tough. I live a couple of hours away from denver and hoping to get some advice before I just travel to different dr's.

Any help or suggests. I am having lower back and leg pain after two fusions and two rod removals. Local Dr. is having a MRI performed. Now the dr's here locally don't usually deal with someone with severe curves as mind but I was wanting to get started some where??

swimmergirlsmom,

I do appreciate your response. What could you tell me about his knowledge of Scoliosis? And anything else you might share would sure appreicate it.

You know my last dr. was located in lonetree, co. He use to have a office in Aurora, CO then moved there. Lonetree is one of the suburbs of Denver. I mentioned Denver because it is the main squeeze.

Thank you very much

I'm about to have my first scoliosis fusion, and I did a lot of research on doctors. I'm going to go with Dr. Doug Wong of Panorama Orthopedics in Golden, CO (they also have offices in Littleton and Westminster). Phone 303-233-1223. Dr. Wong specializes in scoli fusion, he's part of a large practice, and they do "case presentations" before surgery in which all the docs argue for which approach would be best for this case. It's like getting a half a dozen or more second opinions! I also talked to a past patient of his who highly recommended him.
