Anybody had any experience with the endoscopic surgery procedure instead of the traditional surgery? I was just reading about it on another site and it sounds less invasive. Even if you didn't have any experience with it, what do you think? You guys in this forum are all wonderful. I love you all.

Hi Lily,

I've researched this one up one side and down the next. Who wouldn't want a less invasive method? As of June 2004, Dr. Blackman, the doctor who pioneered this method, no longer recommends it. My understanding is that using the scope made what needed to be a 3 dimensional procedure into a 2 dimensional. If you wish to check it out, his address is: www.scoliosisrx.com. good luck

I discussed this with a surgeon who has performed many minimally invasive/endoscopic procedures. He told me that at the age of 31, I was not a candidate. He said the oldest patient he had performed it on was 19.
