Hi Olivia,

I have seen all your recent posts, and you sound very upset and worried about your scoliosis. There are several docs in Portland who specialize in scoliosis:

Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland (where all care is free regardless of insurance status, the only criteria is they feel they can help you).

Adam Barmada, MD, Legacy Bone and Joint Clinic

Robert Hart MD, OHSU

You can search for more on the Scoliosis Research Society website, www.srs.org , click on 'find a specialist.'

I hope you can have a serious talk with your parents about your back, breathing, etc, so you don't have to worry so much about things. Only a doctor can examine you and determine how best to help. And Kaiser does not cover Shriners, because Shriners does not charge or bill insurance. But I think you are required to bring your parent to your appointments.

Good luck,
