Dr. Fras did my surgery in May and I absolutely love him! He's so nice and personable. I'm anxious to hear how your consultation goes. Have you seen any other surgeons in the Philadelphia area? If you don't mind my asking, how old are you?
i am 57 with a spine to match. i have seen one philly doc and one new york doc. i also have an appointment with dr. boachie in october. my fear with him (boachie) is that i would not be able to afford the difference after my insurance pays their measly portion.
I know dr. fras is young and i don't know if he does old folk scoliosis type surgeries. i would prefer to not go up to ny if i don't have to.

Dr. Fras treats all ages as far as I know. He's 38 or 39 but he's an excellent surgeon. Whenever another doctor looks at my incision, they are blown away by how well it was done. One thing I have to advise is that if you've ever had a surgery before, please set up a pain management plan. My pain was not managed very well in the hospital as I had no idea what to request ahead of time. That is really my only complaint. Dr. Fras visited me every day in the hospital and I was there 9 days. I hope it works out with him or Dr. Boachie. PM me if you want any more specifics.
