Hey everyone, I would just like to know that I am not the only one who is in pain. I have a 35 degree curve, or more, i don't really no, still waiting for doc. appointment. Also, could you tell me what degree your curve is?

:)

Hi - I'm posting for my 18yr old daughter. She has a lumbar curve of about 40 degrees, and has regular pain in her back, above her main curve. She would LOVE to find a way to get rid of the pain. Exercising helps, but sometimes aggrivates the pain. Pain is a big issue.

Hey Carmell,
Just like your daughter, I try everything to get rid of the pain. It seems as though it will never go away! errr. :-) It isn't fair that some people have to go through life with pain. You know, ever since I have had scoliosis it has inspired me to become an orthopedic doc for kids. I plan to be the BEST! I mostly wanna help children with scoli. But yeah, I am actually glad that I have it. Sounds weird huh? Well, I guess I'll go for now. Talk to u later.

I didn't vote because I'm somewhere between "a little pain" and "pain all the time." Before my surgery (2/4/04, 48 degree upper curve), I had a lot of pain, but only while doing certain activities, such as dishes, homework, and horseback riding. After surgery, my pain occurs more often, but its usually fairly mild.

Yeah, I know what u mean. But like sometimes my pain can be like yours but when I do things like standing for a long period of time, or sitting, it really hurts!!!! errr! LoL:) but yeah, so I should have put another selection for people like you that are in the middle. Maybe I can change it? I dunno. Well, I guess I will talk to you later!! :p

i used to have horrible pain from my back to the point of even lying down on a soft bed hurt. i went to a chiropractor and bam the pain is like not there. all i get now is some sore back pain if i am running or standing for long periods or carrying heavey loads like a back pack
