I didn't know whether to laugh or cry so i think i did a little of both...lol...

YOU know what it's like to have to sit and look at a mess and not be able to get down and clean it up while you are recouperating. I've slowly been working on the messes that have accumulated around the house little by little. This weekend i got down on my hands and knees with my bottom stuck up in the air reaching under the sofa, pulling out lost socks and papers and empty plastic water bottles, etc... YUK!!

Hubby walked by at that time and saw what i was doing.... he said, "Oh, hon, wait just a minute.... let me help you." I waited.... he returned .... and handed me my cane so i could reach under easier!!

I just had to post this here where I know you all can identify with it.

I am laughing and crying (mostly crying) just reading this! I was thinking "my she has such a sweet man" then I get to the part about him handing you the cane and my eyes welled up. I know we are all coming from different places, I personally am going through a divorce and am not very man friendly at this time, but that just broke my heart. I know how hard it is to pick up the little things we drop in the course of the day. However at the same time I am cheering the fact that you were able to get down on your hands and knees to reach the clutter! Good for you!

What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger!

Or maybe it should be 'If we don't kill them, we'll be stronger!' I too applaud you for your strength, physical and emotional. I tend to be a rather independent person and don't like to ask for help, but I'm getting better at it. And I've noticed my husband is getting better at anticipating what I might need. Apparently they can't read our minds like I thought they could!

        Surprise ending!

I too was fooled... and then laughed. My hubby would have a caniption fit if he found me on my hands and knees though. I'll have to check on that one at my next appt. In the meantime, if I can't get it with my grabber or reacher, it stays-- but my hubby is good at picking up things--and doing most of the housework. There are some cleaning jobs that he doesn't think need to get done, so I live with that... for the most part he has been wonderful. (Anyone have ideas on cleaning tubs???) Geish, sorry you are going through all that at such an already challenging time.
