  • Woo-hoo! MRSA "curtain call" prevention in place!

Hanson's office called me this morning to tell me they called in a rx of Bactrim (x 2/day) until surgery, and Hanson has agreed to my unrelenting campaign to run in IV Vanco during surgery (which gives about 7 days protection post op).

I developed MRSA in 2001 after breast augmentation: I do NOT want it again (especially around my hardware ... and bless your heart, Suzyjay ... I feel for you).

One positive thing, I suppose, about being a repeat ortho trauma case study (other than great appt scheduling - LOL) is I DO (fortunately or unfortunately) know what works for me ...

I can't imagine going into this as a first surgery.

    Regards,
Pam (who is pretending The List does not exist ... today ;-)
Fusion is NOT the end of the world.

it's about damned time they listen... hehe...

I am SO glad you will have extra antibiotic! I overheard somewhere in this last surgery I had last week that Vancomycin is big time expensive. Like we give a flying flip! Honey, you stay with it, you'll get everything done on your list!
