Poorly diagnosed

I'm actually 18, but I was diagnosed when I was 15. My doctor didn't have a very good bedside manner, it was the first and only time I went to him. It gave me a pretty big fear of going to another doctor, for a second opinion and possible treatment options. I have social anxiety disorder and clincal depression, and am just now properly medicated for those problems. The doctor I saw didn't tell me how many degrees my curve is, though he did say it was the worst case he'd seen in a 15 year old, he's a pretty small town specialist, so that may not have been saying much. I have pretty horrible back pain. It's constant. I'm on Soma from a pain specialist for the muscle spasms I have from my spine pressing against nerves/muscles, etc. I guess I'm more waiting than watching. Just posting here out of curiousity. I'll probably make all future posts in 18+

Try searching for a Scottish Rite facility near your location. I did a search for a Scottish Rite in Oklahoma but did not find one.

I know that there is one in Dallas, TX. The doctors there are very thorough but you still need to do your research and ask all the right questions.

You are at the cutoff age where they won't treat you. They treat infants to teens up to 18 years old. So make sure you see them before you are 19.
