Your doctor is a genius! that is absolutely amazing! I don't think I've seen that big of a lumbar curve, or it sure looked bigger than most to me.... congratulations sweetie...

Dang, I think those are some of straightest post-ops I have seen! You must be ecstatic. Congratulations!

Your results are amazing! Could you make yourself "straight" or were you always tilted to the side? I have a similar shift, but it's not as bad as yours. I stand shifted a lot because it's actually more comfortable than standing "straight".

Thank you all for the kind responses. I was totally amazed when I saw the x-ray for the first time I had the PA print me a copy in the hospital it was the only thing that put a smile on my face the first several weeks. At my pre op, the Dr. said we would be lucky to get the curves down to25 or 30 degrees and balanced. When I went for a post op appt. he had a new Dr. come in and he was just as shocked as I was.

I could stand up straighter up until 18 months before the surgery The pain just got to bad and I guess the muscle took over.

That's great, Patty! Your spine must have been very flexible to get such a good correction and especially considering the severe shift you had. As you said, it makes it all worth it when you see the finished results. Good healing to you.
