Hi Springhillgirl,
I can't answer your question, but I want to welcome you to this forum!!! And also wish you all the best in your upcoming surgery!!!
Don't give up too soon on finding information on this forum. And I hope you let us know how you're doing afterwards!!! Your surgery is coming up soon and we all wish you our best!!!
I read this forum for quite a while and I finally decided to join and post my first thread 9 days before my surgery. That was something I regreted, I know now that I would have been welcomed with open arms, and recieved a lot of needed support and comfort so much sooner.
I hope you know we will be here for you!!!

Click on the Search link above. There have been a few threads in which Dr. McCord has been mentioned.Never argue with an idiot. They always drag you down to their level, and then they beat you with experience. --Twain

Dr. McCord
kdawn - I saw two other ortho surgeons before going to Dr. McCord and Dr. #1 was super conservative and wanted me to suffer through three more months of pain before even thinking about surgery, and I was told by both a physical therapist and a chiropractor that Dr. #2 was bad news. The chiropractor told me about Dr. McCord and told me that he is a spine specialist and is the president of the American College of Spine Surgeons and is the top of the field. So, I checked him out online as much as I could and then went to see him and really liked him and his staff. He did a diskogram and I was pleased with how it was done and how wonderful he was afterwards (he spent an hour in his office with me going over all of the details and answering a million questions that he had).
