  • My knees hurt!

I am 6 months post op and the last month or so I have been having alot of knee pain when I "squat"- I can't bend real well yet so this is the only way for me to get things off the floor, etc and it has me concerned. I need my knees! I guess I can use the grabber for awhile and see if the pain subsides- ?? Anyone else had problems with their knees? Thanks!

I pick things up with my toes when possible. It is very important to keep your knees and hips in shape and flexable to compensate for not being able to bend. It will get easier as time goes by

There are exercises you can do to strengthen the knees and hips. Leg extensions for your knees (with a very light ankle weight). For hips - while lying down on your side or standing leg lifts. To make sure you do them properly refer with a physical therapist or an a lesson or two with a good personal trainer.
