Jennsmom0018,

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter's problems, and the 14 surgeries that have not solved her scoli problems.

Dr. Boachie, at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, treats both children and adults and takes on difficult cases that other spine surgeons decline to handle. You will find many hits if you search his name on this forum. Also Google his name to find more information about him. He is considered one of the very best.

Please check him out and make an appointment to have him examine your daughter. He does not contract with any insurance companies but instead takes the out-of-network payment plus likely your own co-payments. I think you will be able to schedule an evaluation within 6 - 8 weeks; he is already booked to December/January for surgeries.

Best of luck, and keep us posted.

In addition to Dr. Boachie, depending on where you live, you may want to consider either Dr. Lawrence Lenke or Dr. Keith Bridwell who are located in St. Louis. They are two of the country's leading revision specialists and you will find lots of information here about them just by doing a search. There is a recent thread posted about Dr. Lenke by people who are having surgery by him this year.

Wishing you all the best for your daughter.

Chris

Your 15 year old can for sure be straight again. I had an 80 deg. hump and now have zero. You need to listen to the other replays you have here and search out the one that best can fix things. I wish I could recommend the on that did mine but he passed away last April. Dr. Thomas Lowe. Some where here in the archives there is a before and after picture of what or how he fixed me.
I do need to climb you a little bit Mom. For as much as you have done for your daughter I better never hear or see you type again that you think you have let your 15 year old down. To prove that, just ask her if she thinks you have. I already know the answer.
She will be fine when you find the right people, and you too will endure
My Best, Jess
