  • Anya's surgery on Tuesday. It is time!

    Hi all,

My mother flies into town tomorrow to help out with surgery, so I just wanted to send out my official "going into surgery" message to the forum.

I have been on this forum for over a year now seeking advice and "meeting" wonderful scoli friends. It has been a long process preparing for this surgery (over a year) so I feel rather calm and prepared (as much as one can hope). Dr. Tribus in Madison, WI will be fusing L3-T4 posteriorly.

Like others have said, this forum has been invaluable to me and I will keep posting post-op and hopefully help others through the process. Thank you so much to all of you who have helped and encouraged me over the past year.

My surgery is this coming Tuesday (June 5th). My husband, Chris, will keep you posted and also keep my scoliosis blog going until I can post again. We get free wireless in the hospital, so he doesn't even have to leave my side.

Thanks again, and I'll be back as a bionic, slightly-taller woman.

    Blessings,
    Anya

          Good Luck

Best of Luck! I know you will do well. Make sure you take along Peggy H. prepare for surgery CD and give those healing statements to your doc. My doctor had the nurses reading them to me at the end and I woke up feeling at peace!

You are in my prayers! You will do great!

                              Hi Sam,

I wonder if your daughter will still be in the hospital when I have my surgery -- six days after hers. On second thought, knowing how fast kids bounce back, you'll probably be home by then....

How is she doing with everything??
