  • My surgery is tomorrow (Tuesday)!

    Dear Forum Friends,

My surgery will be at 7:30 AM, PST, tomorrow (May 15.) I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. Really! Through this Forum I learned more about scoliosis and surgical outcomes, preparation for surgery, current research, etc, etc, than most people in the world know. That's how it is here. And I've felt so much support from people just like me. Because of you, I've done my research and become proactive in my surgery. I was so much more scared a couple of months ago than I am tonight. And that has a lot to do with you. Tonight I'm focused on positive outcomes, not potential setbacks. But I know, if setbacks come, what to expect and I am prepared for them. You've really been amazing.

My son Caleb came on Saturday to be with me during my surgery. He'll be here a month. He'll be posting updates on this forum. I'll be posting as soon as I can write again............

Thanks so much every one of you!!

    Brynn

Today is Wed, so that means....

                      Hey Brynn,
My thoughts have been with you as I read your earlier threads and knew it was yesterday.

Now my message is to say, "ITS ALL OVER NOW!!" You have done it!! So well done.
Apart from all the discomfort and been out of it, it is the best thing to know the operation is over.

As you my remember my operation was 3 weeks ago and I couldn't have put it better than you with your acknowledgment to this forum. Brought a few tears to my eyes.

                      Take good care Brynn,
Look forward to hearing from your son and you soon

It's over now!! I remember the feeling, less than 7 weeks ago, and I can't wait to hear how you are. I'm glad you finally got my before and after photos the night before surgery. I can't wait to see yours. Now it's the healing and patience, which I'm still practicing!
Hope we hear from your son very soon. It takes awhile to really feel up to posting yourself.
My best wishes and thoughts are with you.
