Hello everyone. Well it has been almost ten months and I can't believe it. I have had some issues with my right shoulder blade at late however I think it is from straining it by sitting at the computer at work too long. I need to be more disciplined in taking breaks from my work station. I still have not had a period since my operation. All my blood tests have come back normal and so I see a Gynocologist on the 30th April to see what's going on in there. No one seems overly concerned and my specialist thinks it might have more to do with coming off the pill for the first time in 8 years. I will get back to you with the results from my consultaion next week. Apart from these couple of hiccups I am doing really well. I go to London in 2 months on the anniversary of my operation to celebrate with my parents. This was something we promised ourselves as I was being wheeled away for surgery last year. Very exciting indeed. My partner and I are getting married in October and can you believe it I got my dream wedding dress with (SHOCK HORROR) no straps! and it looks great I might add. It is such an amazing thing to have people stop you and say how great your posture is. I really feel blessed for having made it this far. Stay tuned for results from Gynocologist! Cheers!

Hi Katie,

Cheers to you!!! We all have some kind of hiccup, I think. Congratulations on your upcoming visit and wedding, and is is great to feel normal in a beautiful dress.

Good luck with the "gyny", I'm sure it's nothing unusual.

Shari

Katie,

I was on the pill a month before surgey, got back on it after surgery, and had 3 regular periods until this current month... Does surgery really affect the menstrual cycle of us women?

I have scheduled the earliest appointment with my gynocologist in May...

Hope to hear your story soon...
