Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this site but I've posted a few replies to a couple of people so maybe you're familiar with my story. I had a revision surgery a little over a month ago and have started getting headaches the last week or two. I think I remember this happening after the first surgery too. They aren't migraines but last time they eventually progressed and I think I had one that really felt like a migraine. They stopped a couple years after the surgery but now I'm worried I might have to deal with them again. I've been having them almost everyday.

I also came off the Tylenol 3s and occassional Vicodin about 6 or 7 days ago completely. I had slowly stopped taking them and was taking about 1 or 2 Tylenol 3s every 12 hours when I stopped. I thought I had weened myself off of them but I started feeling sick, had loss of appetite, and was a little down in the dumps. Then I started getting the headaches. All I'm taking now is the over-the-counter Tylenol but it really doesn't do much of anything.

Anybody else have this happen? Thanks! :o

Sarah,
I developed migranes after my second surgery that were almost daily. They were HORRIBLE. After seeing a neurologist I was put on Topamax which helped to control the headaches. If you continue to get headaches I suggest talking to your surgeon or general practitioner about treatment options. You shouldn't have to suffer.
Good luck,
Mandy

Thanks for the help Mandy. I don't have migraines thankfully but I know what they are like and I hope these don't progress to that again! I wonder if the headaches are related to the hardwear or something...

I had horrific headaches after my surgery. What had happened is they nicked my spinal cord and I had lost a bit of fluid.
