anterior/posterior surgery June 2007

I was originally scheduled for 6/25 and 6/27 but last week the drs office called and scheduled me for 6/26 and 6/27. Has anyone had this surgery, one right after the other? Shouldn't your body get a break from the anesthesia? The dr said that this will work fine, but I am a little concerned!
Any comments or advice would be appreciated! Thanks - Maria

My surgeries were 6 days apart so I can't answer your question. Hopefully someone can help you with this.

Yep, that's exactly what mine was. I went in for the anterior about 4 hours. Had one day's rest that wasn't bad at all and my posterior surgery the following day lasted 8 hours. I questioned it also, but was extremely happy with the results afterwards. My surgeon was also well rested. =)

I'm glad you were happy with the results! How are you feeling? I see that you had your surgery in NYC! Who is your surgeon and where did you have it done? My surgeon is Dr. Neuwirth from Beth Isreal Spine Institute.
